I am a Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in sports and musculoskeletal injuries. I qualified with a BSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham in 2002, and gained distinction in a MSc in Sports Physiotherapy at University College London in 2007, also gaining MACP membership. I have worked in the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals, the Manor Hospital Oxford, and privately with British Rowing among other sports. I am a member of the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand, having spent a year working in Wellington.

I have a strong bias for rehabilitation and prevention of recurrence of injury as well as practicing manual therapy, pilates and acupuncture. I am a member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP), the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, and I am a fully certified pilates instructor under the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). I am available for private physiotherapy consultations on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the Oxford University Club, where I also teach pilates classes.

Research:

My MSc project into bone mineral density and rib injuries in female lightweight rowers was accepted for poster presentation at the American College of Sports Medicine annual conference in Indianapolis where I presented it in May 2008. The abstract was published in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise

I also presented this paper at the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine annual conference in Belfast in November 2008.

Lecturing:

I was a guest lecturer on 'Trunk Stability' for Oxford University's Masters in Science and Medicine of Athletic Performance in 2008 and 2009.

Rowing

I am a keen rower, currently doing GB trials. In 2009 I won Gold in a coxed four at the National Championships of Great Britain, Gold in coxless fours at Ghent International Regatta, and was placed 5th woman overall at the Sculler's Head of the River race. In 2011 I got to the final at Henley Women's Regatta in senior single sculls, represented England at the Home International Regatta, winning gold in both the women's single scull and women's eight, and won the women's senior pennant at the Sculler's Head of the River Race.
